Philly Firm Can't Register 'Remember This Name' Trademark

Law360 (March 8, 2018, 7:15 PM EST) -- A Philadelphia personal injury firm that tells people to “Remember This Number” won a ruling Tuesday preventing a longtime local rival from registering “Remember This Name” as a federal trademark.

The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board sided with Larry Pitt & Associates PC and ruled that Lundy Law LLP’s slogan — plastered on Philadelphia buses and billboards above the firm’s name — does not function as a source-designating service mark.
