USPTO Rejects Cypress SRAM Patent Claims: GSI

Law360, New York (November 2, 2011, 4:57 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has initially rejected several claims in two patents Cypress Semiconductor Corp. asserted against GSI Technology Inc. in a U.S. International Trade Commission case over static random access memory, GSI said Wednesday.

In July, the ITC voted to launch an investigation into San Jose-based Cypress' claims that GSI and several other respondents had run afoul of U.S. trade law by importing or selling products that infringed four Cypress patents. Cypress also hit GSI with a patent suit in Minnesota federal court...
