By Maria Chutchian (May 9, 2014, 2:04 PM EDT) -- A group of Howrey LLP unsecured creditors on Thursday asked a California bankruptcy judge to remove the Chapter 11 trustee from the fallen firm's case, saying his law firm's recent hire of an attorney who the creditors say represents them in the bankruptcy creates a conflict.
Last week, Diamond McCarthy LLP, which represents trustee Allan B. Diamond in the Howrey bankruptcy, hired seven new attorneys, including former Greenfield Sullivan Draa & Harrington LLP name partner Christopher Sullivan.
