Big Cos. Expect Patent Suits To Increase: Survey

Law360, New York (October 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Not only are bigger companies more likely to end up embroiled in patent disputes, but large corporations are more likely to end up litigating those conflicts than small companies, according to a survey to be released Tuesday.

About 18 percent of companies that brought in at least $1 billion in gross revenues during the last fiscal year expect patent infringement claims against them to increase, compared to just 3 percent of companies with less than $100 million in revenues, according to a survey of corporate counsel...
