Fed. Circ. Can Manage Influx Of Cases, Judges Say

Law360, New York (March 3, 2017, 3:38 PM EST) -- Despite a recent influx of cases, largely driven by appeals from America Invents Act reviews at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, the Federal Circuit is in no danger in terms of being able to handle its docket, two of the court’s judges said Friday.

Speaking as part of a panel discussion at the PTAB Bar Association’s inaugural conference in Washington, D.C., circuit judges Kimberly Ann Moore and Kara Farnandez Stoll addressed the court’s caseload, which has steadily increased each year since AIA reviews became available in late 2012.
