Please, Don't Try To 'Trademark' Covfefe

Law360, New York (June 8, 2017, 2:51 PM EDT) -- From the White House to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, it took less than nine hours.

At 12:06 a.m., on Wednesday, May 31, President Donald Trump tweeted out the message "Despite the constant negative press covfefe" — and nothing else.


At 5:50 a.m., after the president's seemingly aborted tweet and use of the unknown term had sent the internet into hours of jokes, bewilderment and speculation — Had his phone been slapped away by aides midsentence? — the "covfefe" tweet was deleted.
