Law360 (July 25, 2018, 4:47 PM EDT) -- Facebook General Counsel Colin Stretch has announced his plans to leave the social media giant at the end of the year, as the company continues to be embroiled in a slew of scandals including investigations into its data privacy practices and efforts to combat misinformation.
Stretch, who has been Facebook Inc.'s top lawyer and a vice president since 2013 when he was promoted from deputy GC, wrote in a public Facebook post Tuesday that the company and its legal team need "sustained leadership" in Menlo Park, California, as it embraces the "broader responsibility" that CEO Mark Zuckerberg has recently discussed.
