Ex-Skadden Partner Denies Role In Manafort Ukraine Lobbying

Law360 (September 18, 2018, 5:39 PM EDT) -- Lawyers for former Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP partner Gregory Craig denied Tuesday that he put a controversial report involved in the Paul Manafort prosecution in the hands of U.S. officials.

In a statement, attorneys William Murphy and William Taylor of Zuckerman Spaeder LLP also said Craig never discussed the firm's findings about a politically sensitive prosecution in the Ukraine with officials in the executive branch or in Congress. Craig's "few" media contacts about the 2012 report "were not part of an effort to promote the report on behalf of a foreign government," they said.
