Law Partners' Hourly Rates Keep Climbing

By Aebra Coe (February 27, 2018, 2:02 AM EST) -- The U.S. legal sector saw widespread increases in partner billing rates last year, led by a dominant 8 percent hike in the median rate among the 50 largest law firms, according to a report out Tuesday.

While the largest law firms had some of the biggest increases, firms in nearly every size category registered more substantial rate bumps in 2017 than they did the year before, according to Lexis Nexis CounselLink's 2018 Enterprise Legal Management report.
