More Associate Raises, With $210K Starting Pay At 1 Firm

By Aebra Coe (June 26, 2018, 6:21 PM EDT) -- Five more law firms announced associate pay raises Tuesday, following the lead of other law firms that have increased salaries in recent weeks, with one law firm declaring its first-year associates will earn $210,000 a year in base pay.

Baker Botts LLP, McDermott Will & Emery LLP, Lowenstein Sandler LLP and Linklaters LLP will be matching the associate salary scale set by Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP earlier this month — $190,000 for first-year associates, climbing to $340,000 for eighth-years — in some or all of their U.S. offices, while associates at intellectual property boutique Desmarais LLP will earn $20,000 more...
