Economic Pressure Affects Atty Satisfaction At Large Firms

Law360 (October 11, 2018, 8:14 PM EDT) -- Economic pressure has negatively impacted some lawyers’ satisfaction with their careers, especially those who work at private firms that employ at least 100 attorneys, according to new data that’s part of a 30-year longitudinal study.

Researchers from the University of Virginia School of Law and Duke University School of Medicine first evaluated the class of law students entering the University of Virginia in 1987 and then followed up 20 years later in 2007. The most recent data, which was made available online on Oct. 1, came from a study in 2017, 30 years after the students had entered law school....
