By Andrew Strickler (June 21, 2013, 8:40 PM EDT) -- Jones Day gutted its Ohio-based operations staff Friday, laying off 45 information technology workers there and 20 more from other locations, the firm said.
The layoffs were triggered by the pending resignation of the firm's longtime information technology director and a move to cut operation costs by consolidating technology responsibilities, Jones Day partner Joe Sims told Law360.
