GCs Report Rise In US Companies' Litigation Spending

Law360, New York (July 16, 2013, 8:39 PM EDT) -- Half of the U.S. corporations whose general counsel were polled in a survey released Tuesday upped their litigation spending last year, as more than a third saw the volume of legal disputes they faced rise. 

A survey of about 100 in-house lawyers at corporations with annual revenue of $250 million or more found that 42 percent increased their litigation outlays slightly in 2012, with another 9 percent calling their increases significant.
