Dorsey & Whitney To Shutter Australia Outpost At Year End

Law360, New York (September 30, 2013, 6:47 PM EDT) -- Bucking a pro-Down Under trend among international firms, Dorsey & Whitney LLP said it will shutter its office in Australia at the end of the year.

The Sydney office's lone partner, securities and M&A attorney John Chrisman, will relocate to the firm’s Hong Kong office.

The move is "part of Dorsey’s strategy of consolidating its corporate practice and building critical mass in key financial centers," the Minneapolis-based firm said last week in a statement.
