Cozen Attys Guide Vets Through Benefit Claims Maze
By Andrew Strickler (August 1, 2014, 3:57 PM EDT) -- A struggling former National Guard member recently saw benefits related to his training injury increased tenfold with the help of a Cozen O'Connor LLP pro bono program focused on homeless military veterans and the murky world of securing claims in a complex bureaucracy.
The program, dubbed CoVet, has so far seen more than two dozen attorneys win the certification needed to lead veterans through the maze of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in search of medical and financial support for injuries, both physical and psychological, they suffered during their military service.
