Stryker Cut From Zimmer's Howmedica Trade Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (April 20, 2017, 5:55 PM EDT) -- Medical technology company Zimmer Inc., Howmedica Osteonics Corp. and others have agreed to cut Stryker Corp. from Zimmer’s lawsuit accusing Howmedica of developing a “Trojan horse” plan to steal its trade secrets, as long as certain conditions apply.

Under the agreement, Zimmer — which sued Stryker, Howmedica and former Zimmer salesman Cody Stovall over the alleged plot — will reserve its right to pull Stryker back into the suit if any of the conditions are violated. Zimmer claimed that Stovall acted as a Trojan horse while still working...
