Execs Show Emerging Optimism About M&A: Report

Law360, New York (October 28, 2009, 6:50 PM EDT) -- A survey of corporate executives released by Dykema Gossett PLLC on Wednesday revealed signs of growing optimism about the prospects for the mergers and acquisitions market, but also evidence of the lasting impact of the credit crunch and recession.

In Dykema's Fifth Annual Mergers & Acquisitions Outlook Survey, nearly 28 percent of respondents indicated they were expecting the overall U.S. M&A market to be “strong” in the coming 12 months, compared with only 16 percent providing that response in 2008.
