The rankings, outlined in Activist Insight and Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP's latest annual "Activist Investing" report, are based on a variety of factors, including the number of companies targeted in public campaigns, average market capitalization of targeted companies, average annual follower return rate and publicity surrounding the campaigns.
