Deals Rumor Mill: Northland Power, Snapdeal, GSR Capital

By Benjamin Horney (July 5, 2017, 6:33 PM EDT) -- Northland Power Inc. did not succeed in its attempts to find an acquirer, with Bloomberg reporting on Wednesday that the Canadian sustainable energy company came up empty handed with no offers after a sales process. Rumors that Northland was up for grabs date back to December, when reports said China Three Gorges Corp. and SDIC Power Holdings Co. were among those with interest. Those reports had Northland valued at around $2.8 billion. The formal sale process isn't quite over yet, the report noted, meaning it is possible a true suitor could emerge....
