Pa. Justices To Revisit Act 13 Ruling In Philly Energy Cases

Law360, Philadelphia (March 7, 2016, 7:50 PM EST) -- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s landmark ruling axing statewide zoning rules for drillers is set to take center stage again in Philadelphia on Wednesday as the justices hear two major appeals over both who should be responsible for reviewing local drilling rules and the proper standards for deciding environmental challenges.

Fallout from the so-called Robinson Township decision in 2013 is set to continue as the court hears a second appeal in the case dealing with the Public Utility Commission’s authority to review local drilling regulations.
