Law360, Philadelphia (April 20, 2016, 6:14 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania judge said Wednesday he would not grant an injunction aimed at keeping a referendum on a potential increase to the state's mandatory judicial retirement age on the ballot in next week's primary election.
The decision comes after Democratic lawmakers filed suit in the state's Commonwealth Court on Friday challenging a resolution passed by the General Assembly earlier in the week to delay a vote on the referendum, which would increase the mandatory retirement age for judges from 70 to 75.
