Senate Passes JOBS Act, Sends Revision Back To House

By Amanda Bransford (March 22, 2012, 3:17 PM EDT) -- The Senate voted by a wide margin Thursday to approve a package of bills designed to make it easier for small companies and startups to attract capital, adding an amendment to increase protections for investors.

Having passed the Senate by 73-26, the JOBS bill will return to the House of Representatives, which passed the measure by a landslide 390-23 vote two weeks ago, for representatives to vote on the amended version.
