Deals Rumor Mill: Perrigo, Synaptics, Brown-Forman

PLC's top shareholders have requested that the Irish drugmaker look into a sale in hopes of finding an alternative to the takeover attempt launched by Mylan NV, which is worth about $27 billion, according to a Wednesday report from Reuters. According to the report, shareholders representing at least 6 percent of Perrigo's equity capital have asked the company to consider a sale. The report noted that this outburst of shareholder demand could be seen as a negative for the company, which has been attempting to tout the merits of its standalone strategy while trying to ward off Mylan....
