Deals Rumor Mill: HNA, Flipkart, Gas Natural

By Benjamin Horney (August 1, 2017, 6:47 PM EDT) -- HNA Group is struggling to complete at least two overseas deals due to a Beijing crackdown on corporate acquisitions being funded by debt, according to a report from Reuters on Tuesday. According to the report, HNA's proposed acquisitions of International Currency Exchange and Rezidor Hotel Group AB are among the deals facing obstacles. The ICE agreement, inked in April, was worth £200 million ($264.36 million). That deal was supposed to be completed in April of this year, but isn't guaranteed to receive Chinese regulatory approval, the report said. The agreement involving Rezidor has been postponed until September, the report noted....
