Pa. Infant Sling Death Suit Settled For $8M

Law360, Philadelphia (September 9, 2013, 3:11 PM EDT) -- A Philadelphia woman last week reached an $8 million settlement with the manufacturer of a recalled infant sling that allegedly caused the death of her infant son, in a case that had bounced from state court to federal court and then back.

Infantino LLC agreed to pay Anthoinette Medley the settlement to put to rest a case in which she claimed that the company's SlingRider baby carrier led to the February 2009 suffocation death of of her seven-week-old son Nelsir Scott.
