J&J Unit Hit With Suit Over Rheumatoid Arthritis Drug

Law360, Philadelphia (November 19, 2013, 7:55 PM EST) -- An Indiana coupled filed suit in Pennsylvania court Friday alleging that a Johnson & Johnson unit failed to adequately warn doctors and the public about the risks of nerve paralysis associated with its rheumatoid arthritis drug Remicade.

In a complaint lodged in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, Linda and Charles Snyder allege that Janssen Biotech Inc. knew that the drug carried a significant risk of medical problems including numbness, memory loss and fibromyalgia, but that it failed to adequately convey warnings to prescribing physicians...
