Fed. Judge Strikes Down Wis. Gay Marriage Ban

Law360, Los Angeles (June 6, 2014, 10:12 PM EDT) -- A Wisconsin federal judge on Friday struck down an amendment to the state’s constitution banning same-sex marriage in a lawsuit brought by eight couples who wanted to get married or have their out-of-state marriages recognized, finding it violates equal protection rights under the Fourteenth Amendment.
