DLA Piper Severs Ties With 10-Year South African Affiliate
Law360, New York (August 7, 2015, 7:26 PM EDT) -- DLA Piper said Friday it will sever ties with Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc. after unsuccessfully trying to integrate the South African affiliate of 10 years into the global firm's international structure.
Following recent talks about further aligning the partner businesses, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr “decided not to proceed to the next level of integration, and accordingly DLA Piper and CDH have concluded that their respective interests and strategies, internationally and on the African continent, are best delivered separately,” DLA Piper said in a statement.
DLA Piper and Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr will end their decadelong alliance at the end of August.
