While cosmetic products are included within the ambit of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) (21 U.S.C. § 301 et seq.), product liability counsel may not be aware that shampoos, face creams, lipsticks, makeup preparations and countless other products are subject to far less governmental oversight and control than food and drugs.
