Plumbing Co. Says Rival Stole Trade Secrets, Employees

Law360, New York (August 10, 2015, 6:27 PM EDT) -- Plumbing wholesaler Ferguson Enterprises Inc. slammed rival Lockwood International Inc. with a lawsuit Monday in Kentucky federal court, accusing the company of conspiring to steal Ferguson’s trade secrets and poach more than a dozen employees, including its entire Louisville industrial division.

Ferguson alleges that Lockwood and five of Ferguson’s former employees stole Ferguson’s trade secrets and confidential business information in order to set up a new facility just across the Ohio River from Louisville in Jeffersonville, Indiana, staffed entirely by former Ferguson employees.
