Walgreens Offers Rite Aid Up To $650M In Breakup Fees

Law360, New York (October 29, 2015, 9:40 PM EDT) -- Walgreens on Thursday publicly filed the details of its proposed $17.2 billion merger with Rite Aid, noting it would pay Rite Aid up to $650 million should it walk away from the deal and that it would divest as many as 1,000 retail stores worth up to $100 million to secure antitrust approval.
