Regulators Form Working Group To Implement Volcker Rule

Law360, Washington (February 5, 2014, 4:33 PM EST) -- The country's top financial regulators have created a working committee to streamline implementation and enforcement of the Volcker Rule, which prohibits proprietary trading at large financial institutions, regulators said at a House Financial Services Committee hearing on Wednesday.

In a hearing that served largely a defense of the landmark rule, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Jo White and U.S. Federal Reserve Board Gov. Daniel Tarullo said that the group will coordinate a joint interpretation and implementation of the final rule on a "going-forward basis."...
