DC Circ. Urged To Revive Offshore Income Program Suit

Law360, New York (January 11, 2017, 2:24 PM EST) -- Three taxpayers have pressed the D.C. Circuit to revive their suit seeking to upend the Internal Revenue Services’ offshore income disclosure programs, arguing that the changes they are seeking will not block the agency from collecting taxes.

Eva Maze, Suzanne Batra and Margot Lichtenstein on Monday asked the court to reverse a July ruling from U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly that found the taxpayers’ consolidated suit would violate the Anti-Injunction Act, which prohibits federal courts from taking actions that would restrict the collection of taxes....
