Deals Rumor Mill: Broadcom, Intel, GE

By Adam Rhodes (March 9, 2018, 7:28 PM EST) -- The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States previously ordered Broadcom to give the panel five days' notice before starting efforts to move to the United States, Reuters reported Friday. The report comes the same day as the semiconductor giant's promises not to sell sensitive assets to foreign buyers in a bid to win support for its hostile $117 billion bid for Qualcomm amid CFIUS scrutiny. Qualcomm previously postponed its shareholder meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday. Broadcom was expected to try to name several board members during that meeting....
