National Lawyers Need National Licensing For National Courts

Law360 (March 20, 2018, 11:27 AM EDT) -- From coast to coast, national practitioners have tried to loosen cross-state restrictions on the practice of law. Just this February, a number of legal groups asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to strike its local rule requiring that, before seeking federal court admission, attorneys first be licensed by the state of California.
