Antitrust Complaints About Giant Companies Are Not New

Law360, New York (August 9, 2017, 12:45 PM EDT) -- Mainstream media has been full of stories and commentaries about antitrust policy the last couple years. Whether the New Republic, The New York Times or The Economist, the pieces blame lax antitrust enforcement for alleged increases in concentration and decreases in competition in the U.S. economy. Often, wildly successful tech companies are the villains. In sum, a handful of companies are getting too big, antitrust ought to do something about it, and if it can’t or won’t, maybe we need to change the antitrust laws....
