Adviser Who 'Verified' Ponzi Investments Gets 30 Months

Law360, Miami (October 26, 2015, 6:44 PM EDT) -- A Florida investment adviser whom prosecutors said served as a “verifer” of $200 million worth of transactions in former attorney Scott Rothstein’s $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme, received a 30-month sentence Monday, avoiding a significantly longer penalty after pleading guilty and cooperating with prosecutors.
