Here, Benjamin Brafman recalls a day in Brooklyn federal court this year, when “pharma bro” Martin Shkreli was on trial for securities fraud. Brafman is a criminal defense attorney known for representing celebrities, political and business elites, and other well-known figures in high-profile cases. His clients have included former International Monetary Fund head Dominique Strauss-Kahn, rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs and pop star Michael Jackson. More recently, he was hired by Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein.
