Muslim Engineer Can't Prove Sikorsky Fired Him For His Faith

Law360 (February 7, 2018, 9:10 PM EST) -- A Connecticut federal judge on Tuesday axed a former Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. engineer’s suit alleging he was laid off due to his Muslim faith, Balkan heritage and dark complexion, saying there wasn’t enough evidence to show he was treated differently than his colleagues.

U.S. District Judge Vanessa L. Bryant awarded Sikorsky summary judgment over claims made by former engineer Pellumb Ameti that he was discriminated against when he was laid off in 2014, and that he had endured a hostile work environment up to that point....
