$17M Auto Repair Verdict Against Insurer Reinstated

Law360 (May 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Missouri appeals court has reinstated a more than $17 million verdict against American Family Mutual Insurance Co. in a class action alleging the insurer wrongly paid for auto repairs based on the cost of aftermarket parts.

The Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District said Tuesday that Jackson County Circuit Judge Edith Messina was wrong to set aside the approximately $17.3 million award for the insureds.
