Chevron's NY Shareholders Leery Of Ecuador Outcome

Law360 (May 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has reportedly asked Chevron Corp. to clarify what it sees as the potential outcome of an Ecuador lawsuit that could leave the company on the hook for $27 billion in damages for allegedly dumping toxic waste, citing complaints from New York shareholders that together own $1 billion of the oil company's stock.
