Hydroxycut Class Actions Filed In Mass., Ala.

Law360, New York (May 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- With at least two putative class actions launched in federal court, the first wave of litigation has begun against Iovate Health Sciences USA Inc., the maker of Hydroxycut dietary supplements recalled by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for causing liver injuries.

A longtime Hydroxycut consumer filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Wednesday, with a similar complaint launched in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama soon after.
