Wackenhut Loses Bid For Sanctions In FLSA Suit

Wackenhut Corp. did not unreasonably refuse to dismiss state law

claims, a federal judge has refused to grant Wackenhut attorneys' fees for expenses it incurred filing a motion to dismiss those claims.

In an order handed down Wednesday, Judge John W. Lungstrum of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas rejected Wackenhut's bid for attorneys' fees under Section 1927 and denied as moot plaintiff James Armstrong's motion for leave to file a surreply....
