ALJ Backs Calif.-Sempra Unit Deal Over Power Line

Law360, New York (May 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An administrative law judge has paved the way for Sempra Energy's San Diego utility to pay $920,000 to settle allegations by California regulators that the utility misrepresented facts about the proposed path for an electric transmission line in meetings with state officials.

Administrative Law Judge Jean Vieth of the California Public Utilities Commission issued a report on the proposed settlement May 4, recommending that the agency accept the resolution to the charges against the San Diego Gas & Electric Co.
