NLRB Nixes Case Over Alleged Firing Threat At Burger King

Law360, New York (January 31, 2018, 6:32 PM EST) -- A panel for the National Labor Relations Board has unanimously upheld the toss of a complaint against a Missouri Burger King franchise, finding there wasn't enough evidence to back allegations that a manager at the fast-food chain threatened to fire employees who went on strike for higher wages.

The three-member panel, which includes two Democrats, found Monday that the Workers’ Organizing Committee–Kansas City had failed to prove that the franchisee first threatened to ax striking employees and then later falsified their termination papers.
