Battle Between Medical Device Makers Continues

Law360 (September 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Applied Medical Resources Corp. has accused Tyco International LP and a Tyco subsidiary of infringing three patents, the latest development in a long-running series of legal battles between the rival companies over surgical instruments known as trocars.

On Monday, Applied Medical filed an answer and counterclaims in response to a patent infringement suit brought by Tyco in July in the Eastern District of Texas.
