Kirkland's Gets Consumer Privacy Suit Put On Hold

Law360 (February 2, 2018, 1:06 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge has approved a Kirkland’s Inc. motion to pause a proposed data privacy consumer class action against the home decor chain until a similar matter is decided by the Third Circuit.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert Mitchell on Wednesday noted that the appeals court was due to consider a case with similar claims against a different company in less than two weeks, concluding that the delay would favor judicial economy and would present little harm to the plaintiffs.
