Casey's Settles OT Class Actions For $12M

Law360 (May 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Casey’s General Stores Inc. has entered into settlement agreements with plaintiffs in two class actions that claim the Iowa-based convenience store chain owes them unpaid wages and overtime compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state laws.

Under the settlement agreements, which are subject to a judge's approval in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, the company agreed to pay the plaintiffs, class members and lawyers in the related actions a total of $11.7 million and an additional $400,000 related to...
