Ill. AG, Texaco Reach Agreement In Enviro Suit

Law360, New York (May 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Illinois Attorney General's Office and Texaco Inc. have reached a consent decree requiring the company to pay for natural resource damages at a former refinery along the Embarras River in southern Illinois.

In a motion to amend filed Monday, Attorney General Lisa Madigan asked the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois for permission to add a claim for natural resource damages to its suit against Texaco, which will allow the state to file the agreement for approval.
