Ex-Skadden Atty Pleads Guilty To Lying In Mueller Probe

Law360 (February 20, 2018, 6:06 PM EST) -- A former Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP lawyer pled guilty Tuesday to lying to officials in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Alex van der Zwaan, 33, admitted to lying twice to investigators about his communications with others in the special counsel’s probe into the firm’s work in 2012 on behalf of the Ukraine Ministry of Justice, according to a federal filing made public Tuesday.
